About your Trip

Personalized Travel Assistance.
Once your appointment at Hemas Hospitals has been confirmed, your international medical coordinator will assist you with any transportation and accommodation needs related to your visit.

Transportation
For your convenience, we can arrange for a vehicle to greet you and take you to your hotel when you arrive at any of the local airports. Please note there is a fee for this service.
If you need an ambulance pick-up for direct admission, please contact your international care coordinator..

Accommodation

Hotels
Our team can help make lodging reservations suited to your needs and budget. Your International medical coordinator can help with reduced rates at most hotels in the Wattala area or Thalawathugoda area and its surrounding region. We also offer a complete range of short- and long-term lodging options.

Apartments
Apartment accommodations are available for patients who are staying long-term or prefer a more home-like environment.

High-Amenities Accommodations
If you and your family require more privacy, we can arrange secluded rooms equipped to
deliver medical care, but with touches more reminiscent of a five-star hotel. Rooms and
suites feature fine furnishings, private baths and an array of special amenities.

Please let your international medical coordinator know if you would like us to arrange these
accommodations. Please note that these services are not covered by insurance.

Billing Support

Guide to International Patient Financial Services

Before Your Initial Appointment

Every international patient who visits Hemas Hospitals is assigned an International Medical coordinator, to assist with charge estimates, insurance or embassy benefit verification, and making deposits. Your IMC will contact you before your initial appointment to provide a financial orientation, explain the policies and processes for patient financial services, and answer any questions you may have.

Charge Estimates

Before you can begin receiving medical care at Hemas Hospitals, your IMC will create charge
estimates for the services we expect you will receive.
The difference between the estimated charges and actual costs will be reflected on your final billing
statement.

Insurance and Embassy Sponsorship

Hemas Hospitals has contracts with several international insurance companies and accepts letters of authorization from several embassies. If you have insurance or embassy sponsorship, your IMC will verify coverage and request that you pay a deposit of the amount not covered by your insurance or embassy. If we cannot obtain preauthorization from your insurance company or embassy, or if Hemas Hospitals does not participate with your insurance company or embassy, we will ask you to make a deposit for your treatment.

During Your Visit

During your visit, your IMC is available via phone or email to assist with charge estimates, insurance or embassy benefit verification, and making deposits if additional appointments are scheduled for you.
For patients without insurance or embassy sponsorship, we will provide you with consolidated billing statements throughout your visit and a final statement after your treatment has ended

After your Visit

A follow-up call will be given by the IMC on the 3rd, 7th & 30th day after discharge to make sure your safe.
