Hemas Hospitals Wattala carried out a mega Diabetes and NCD clinic for the fishing community in Palliyawatta area

As an initiative of bringing the purpose of “Healthful Living” to life, Hemas Hospitals Wattala carried out a mega Diabetes and NCD clinic for the fishing community in Palliyawatta area. Hemas Hospitals initiated a project titled “Dheewara Diri Sawi” few months ago, to support the fishing community by donating dry rations and free OPD treatment. The free clinic was held as the second step of Dheewara Diri Sawi programme, on 13th November at the Mount Carmel Church, Palliyawatta. It was organized parallel to Hemas group’s initiative of “Say Yes to Life” launched on International Diabetes Day 2021. The proceedings began with the invoking of blessings by Rev. Fr. Ajith Thissera, the Parish Priest of Palliyawatta. Hemas Hospitals Wattala was able to touch 250 lives on this day by providing free access to diabetes & NCD screening and treatment including medicines. The initiative was highly appreciated by the members of the community.
