This makes it the only purpose-built, up to date kidney transplant of its kind in the Sri Lanka, boasting strict infection control environments and the care and expertise of an elite squad of nephrologists, consultants and specially trained Medical Officers and dedicated nursing staff.
Renal transplant center at Hemas Wattala is a dedicated unit which consists of positive pressure rooms to accommodate the recipients and ensure strict infection control guidelines, resulting in improved clinical outcomes and recovery time while reducing the cross infections a critical factor in measuring the success of a transplant procedure.
